Get your tickets for festival pantomime

Duane Louw, will take to the stage on December 2, following the Northfield worship band.

The stage is set and the costumes ready for local community theatrical troop, Startime Players to present their heart-warming Christmas pantomime.

All I want for Christmas is a charming tale that will transport the audience into the heart of Santa’s workshop.

Rudolph and the elves become worried about jolly St Nick as it seems that he has lost his smile.

Going over his list and checking it twice, he notices that the names on the naughty list are growing increasingly long, while children around the world are demanding bigger and more expensive gifts.

Breaking the rules of the North Pole, Mrs Claus urges Rudolph and elves to bring two special children at the top of the nice list back home.

During their epic adventure, the saviours of Christmas meet Sam, a sad orphan who recently lost her parents.

Because of this tragic loss she has become increasingly obsessed about getting a new phone, forgetting the true meaning of the season.

Together the three special children and Santa rekindle the joy of Christmas, spreading good will and happiness to every corner of the world.

This charming production will take to the stage at Northfield Methodist Church’s 13th Norfest, on December 1, at 19:00.

Tickets will be available at R80 per person.

Gates to the highly anticipated festival open at 09:00, with an entry fee of R10.

Children under 12 enter for free.

The festival is the perfect time to do your Christmas shopping with more than 40 crafters and organic produce stalls offering a wide variety of goods.

The day promises to be fun for the whole family with loads to see, scrumptious street food as well as a dedicated kiddies play area.

On December 2, Duane Louw will take to the stage following the church’s worship band.

The festivities are open to everyone and funds raised will assist the congregation’s ongoing outreach programmes that benefit hundreds of the community’s less fortunate.
