• Hoping for a Christmas miracle, the team at The Animal Guardians (TAG) are wishing on a shooting star and asking members of the community to assist in filling their pantry cupboards.
Donations of wet and dry food for both cats and dogs are welcome while tasty treats would go a long way in making this festive season extra cheery.
The organisation is home to a wide variety of dog breeds of different ages and runs an outreach programme for community members committed to the care and welfare of their pets.

• Beat the rush and join The Animal Guardians (TAG) for a morning of beading.On November 11, avid beading enthusiasts, families, friends and supporters of the animal welfare organisation are invited to participate in a morning of bead crafting.
Let the little ones string a precious gift for granny or friendship bracelets for their friends, items which would make anyone’s heart sing this festive season.
The event kicks off at the shelter at 09:00 and runs to 13:00.
Book your seat at R120 per person, which includes your first 12 beads.
A wide variety of beads will be on sale to ensure that your creation is completed to perfection, ready to wrap and place under the tree.
Funds raised through the event will ensure the animals in TAG’s care enjoy a ‘yap-yap-yappy’ festive season.
