Batter up for Cupcake Day

The funds raised will assist hundreds of young cancer patients and their families.

As we are now in International Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, South Africans are urged to support National Cupcake Day on September 30 at participating malls across SA.

Cupcakes Of Hope (COH) has a singular mission: to meet the financial and emotional needs of children with cancer and their families. From everyday essentials like food and nappies to critical medical requirements like wheelchairs and prosthetics, Cupcake Angels stand united behind the #Bake4Cancer banner and support young warriors and their families.

COH believes in the transformative power of a single cupcake, and this year, they will raise the stakes even higher.

The call is out to all South Africans to don their aprons and stir up the batter for their own Party of Hope during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

How to be part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month:
• Host a Party of Hope
Register your fundraiser at https://cupcakesofhope.org/host-a-fundraiser/
Spread the word among friends, family, neighbours, or colleagues.
Bake 24 or 48 cupcakes and collect funds.
Donate the proceeds to Cupcakes of Hope.

• Join National Cupcake Day, September 30
You can pledge your contribution of cupcakes to the initiative or go to a participating mall and show your support by donating for a cupcake.

Participating malls in Gauteng are East Rand Mall, Clearwater Mall, Cradlestone Mall, The Glen Shopping Centre, Keywest Mall, Mall of the South, Greenstone Mall, Lonehill Shopping Centre, Bel-Air Mall, Rand Ridge Mall, Springs Mall, Mall @ Carnival, Ferndale on Republic, Trade Route Mall, Lemon Tree Shopping Centre, The Reef Shopping Centre, Eye of Africa, Neighbourhood Square (Linksfield Road), Cresta, Flamingo Centre, Stoneridge Centre, Kolonnade Shopping Centre, Woodlands Mall, Brooklyn Mall, Kolonnade Retail Park, Centurion Mall, Menlyn Park SC and Sable Hills SPAR.

Creating cancer awareness, understanding its impact, and educating our country is vital. COH events brim with energy, laughter, and joy.

Through cupcakes, they aspire to bring smiles to these children and their families.
