Veteran cricket thrills

There will be more veteran cricket matches in the coming weekends.

The crowd saw thrilling cricket on a sunny day at the Christian Brothers’ College cricket field on August 27. Round two of the East Rand Veterans Cricket League has ended.

Teams jousted for superiority, but only two managed to impress – KPCC Renegades and Kempton Rebels – each boasting two wins.

The Benoni Sabres and Scimitars cruised through a victory, snatching their maiden wins and those precious bonus points.
