Santa Shoe Box ‘elves’ spread festive cheer

Armed with 5 300 gifts SSB once again delivers happiness to children in need.

Santa gathered up his ‘elves’, sprinkled their hearts with fairy dust and set them loose to bring joy to children less fortunate.

Dressed in their fairy best, volunteers of the Santa Shoe Box (SSB) Johannesburg East visited the Protea Shelter, in Bredell on December 8, bringing with them 36 individually packed gifts for each of the children housed at the facility.

This year do-gooders from across the East Rand picked, packed and delivered 5 300 boxes which are being distributed by 10 core committee members and 100 volunteers.

Members of Santa Shoe Box Johannesburg East delivers specially packed gifts to the children of the Protea Shelter, Bredell. Seen here are Sue Fletcher, Cassidee Nel (coordinator), Lynn Grobler, Chantal Coffin and Margie Kostelac.
