Benoni SAPS join hands with local congregation
Communities need to stand in unity against gender based violence
As part of the Benoni Police Station’s 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence awareness campaigns, members attended a special sermon at the Beth-El Family Worship Centre, in Harpur Avenue, on December 4. Congregants were urged to break the silence and speak out about violence perpetrated against women and children. Pastor Christo Prinsloo emphasised that the community needs to stand united with the SAPS to combat crime to create safe living spaces for all. Seen here are Captain Debbie Stanton (social worker), Brigadier Thabo Mphuthi (station commander), Warrant Officer Reverent Christopher Booi, Colonel Khubulani Ndaba (Vispol commander), Captain Nomsa Sekele (spokesperson) and Pastor Christo Prinsloo.
