Choices for toys are endless

No matter the cost or size, every toy will bring joy to a child.

Preparations are well underway for the 40th annual Gauteng Toy Run 2022, now it’s your turn to bundle up some toys to bring joy to the children.

Toy Run beneficiaries vary from infants to late teens and therefore their needs differ.

According to the event organiser and chairperson of the trust Pete Beart although big teddies and large toys seem like a dream come true for any child, sorting such items makes it difficult to determine who gets what.

“The cost or value of the toy donation is immaterial as long as it brings a smile to a child,” said Pete.

“I suggest rather buying two or more smaller toys, thus ensuring that more children get a present.”

Donations for teens are also welcome and often forgotten. For this age group, Pete recommends items such as toiletries, personal hygiene items and stationery.

The Toy Run takes place on November 27, at the Benoni Northerns Sports Club.
