The Putfontein police are calling on anyone with information about a man’s body found in a veld in Mayfield Ext Six on June 2.
Putfontein SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Raider Ubisi said the body was found by community members who alerted the police.
“Upon arrival, officers were approached by a group of bystanders who pointed out the decomposed body of a man floating in a pool of water.
“Members of the Water Wing rescue team took the body out of the water.
“The police are waiting for postmortem results to determine the cause of the death,” said Ubisi.
The deceased is believed to be in his 50’s.
