The Benoni Taxi Association assures commuters that taxis will be operating as normal tomorrow, June 10, amid national shut down rumours.
This comes after social media messages, which have been circulating all week, stated there is a planned national shutdown due to the high petrol prices.
Edna Dlamini, PRO for the Benoni Taxi Association, said they are not taking part in any such action.
Colonel Athlenda Mathe, the Gauteng Police spokeswoman, said law enforcement officers have been deployed and will be on high alert to prevent and combat any forms of criminality.
