Man dies in fire in Benoni AH
Information indicates that the victim had returned home following a brief trip to the Congo.
It is alleged that 32-year-old man was burnt beyond recognition during a building fire in Forest Road, Benoni Agricultural Holdings.
According to William Ntladi, media liaison for Ekurhuleni Emergency Services, members from the Rynfield Fire Station responded to a call of a wendy house that caught fire following an explosion just after 07:00 yesterday (March 31).

“Upon arrival members contained the blaze, which had spread to two vehicles parked next to the structure,” he said.
“Both vehicles, a sedan and minibus, were spared from any major damage, however, members’ duties moved to search and recovery after it was found that the man was sleeping in the structure that doubled as an office and bedroom.”
The unidentified man’s body was recovered and investigations into the cause of the fire continues.
