New acting police commander appointed

Lt Col Louis Maluleke has been recently appointed as the new acting commander of the Actonville Police Station.

He has served as the Visible Policing (Vispol) commander since 2017.

With more than three decades of service under his belt, Maluleke says standing up and saying you want to fight crime is not enough.

“We are all affected by crime, there is no hiding from it,” he said.

“During my service as acting commander, my focus will be on forging lasting partnerships with the community, businesses and other stakeholders to make an impact on the various crimes being committed in Actonville and Wattville.”
