Willowmoore High achieves 96.6% pass rate

The overall mood for Willowmoore High School matriculants was ecstatic as they celebrated their achievements.
The school achieved a 96.6% pass rate.

Principal Lorna Sanders was excited about the good result.

“I’m very proud of the learners and my staff members. We’ve worked very hard with these learners. The number of distinctions has also increased rapidly.

“That indicates that the learners, teachers and parents have worked together to achieve these good results. I’m grateful for all the effort everyone has put in. We are really proud of everybody,” she said.

The school achieved 151 distinctions, while also obtaining 66% bachelor’s degree exemptions.

Saminah Ellahi and Christah Joseph are the school’s top achievers. Ellahi obtained eight distinctions, while Joseph got seven, including 99% for business studies and 97% for history.

Joseph told the City Times she was relived that her hard work had paid off and she was grateful to her family and friends for their help and support.
