Christmas cheer for Colin House children

Kindness Keystone is a registered NPO that focuses on the welfare of people and animals in need.

Armed with pizzas, snacks and Christmas gifts, members of Kindness Keystone brought some Christmas cheer to the beneficiaries of Colin House on December 24.

Colin House is a temporary safe care facility at the Greater Benoni Child Welfare for children who are considered at risk within their home environment.

Yosheen Govender, founder of Kindness Keystone, said they decided to do something special for the children who were left behind at the shelter during the festive season.

“We spent quality time with the children and it was a wonderful afternoon full of laughter, bike races, spinning around and loads of stories,” she said.

Govender said it wasn’t the first time they provided a helping hand to the home and are hoping to do so again this year.

“We hope to make an even greater impact in helping and showing kindness this year, in our communities and beyond,” said Govender.
