Municipal offices to close for December break

Emergency and essential services will remain operational.

Residents of Ekurhuleni are advised of the closure of most of City of Ekurhuleni’s offices between Christmas and New Year.

All administrative offices, libraries, selected rates halls and pay-points will be closed from 13:00 on December 24 and will re-open on January 2.

However, emergency and essential services will remain operational throughout the festive season. These include refuse collection, electricity and water services.

Residents can in the meantime use the City’s online facilities, such as the www.e-siyakhokha.co.za

In cases of emergencies, residents can call the following numbers:

  • Life-threatening emergency line: 011 458 0911 or 10177 (national toll-free number) or 112 from a cellphone.
  • Municipal Services Call Centre: 0860 543 000

The City of Ekurhuleni wishes all its residents a blessed festive season and prosperous New Year.
