Hans Moore to host fundraiser for coach

The event at the school will begin at 08:00 and conclude at 16:00.

Hoërskool Hans Moore is hosting a fundraiser for Gerrie le Grange on November 27.

He is a coach at the school who was diagnosed with leiomyo sarcoma (stage four) cancer, which led to his leg being amputated on June 30.

“As a caring society, we want to contribute to an automatic car for Mr le Grange. All donations and entry fees from our event will help us with the contribution,” explained Annerie Keulder, marketing manager at Hoërskool Hans Moore.

The event at the school will begin at 08:00 and conclude at 16:00.

A 5km elite race, a 5km fun run/walk and a 2.5km fun run/walk will be presented in line with the Covid-19 protocols and regulations.

Entry fees:

• HM gold: (no learners): R350 includes 5km or 2.5km run/walk, T-shirt, medal and 45 minutes in the VIP room with refreshments.

• HM silver: R160 includes 5km or 2.5km run/walk, T-shirt and badge.

• HM bronze: (only for children up to 12 years): R50 includes 2.5km run/walk.

The elite race is for serious runners who can compete for placing, times and prizes.
