Residents spray, cut their hair for a good cause

The theme for the 2021 Cansa Shavathon is ‘Colours Speak Louder than Words’.

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic having a major impact on the country’s economy, several Benonians took part in the Cansa Shavathon on October 30 at Northmead Square.

Some had their hair sprayed, while some had it shaved.

The theme for the 2021 Cansa Shavathon is ‘Colours Speak Louder than Words’.

Most of the residents said they participated to raise awareness and to encourage cancer patients to keep fighting the disease, while others did it in remembrance of their loved ones who died from the disease.

On the day, three shaved, eight children and eight adults’ sprayed their hair while 33cm of hair was donated.
