Over 19 000 jabbed at Northfield Methodist Church

Vaccinations will now be done at the Northmead Clinic.

On October 15, the Ekurhuleni District Health Services presented Northfield Methodist Church with a certificate of appreciation for its participation and support of the national vaccination programme.

The vaccination site closed its doors on October 15, having administrated 19 678 vaccines from July 26 when it opened.

Vaccinations will now be done at the Northmead Clinic.

Northfield Methodist Church senior minister Louise Wernich thanked everyone involved at the vaccination site over the 12 weeks it was open.

She said it was amazing to see friendships and partnerships develop between people who would have not encountered each other otherwise.

The church hosted a braai for staff members and volunteers on the last day and they all received certificates of appreciation for their hard work and dedication.
