In celebration of Heritage Day, local NPO God Knows Community Organisation and the Skills Development Corporation (an accredited learning institution) visited Spoornet, an informal settlement in Wattville, recently to donate essentials to the needy.
God Knows Community Organisation was established in 2016 by members of the community.
Boitumelo Tshimeloane, a member of the organisation, said the organisation aims to provide basic food and toiletries for children from disadvantaged families and child-headed households.
“Currently, the NPO has no stable form of income and relies on donations from community members and companies.
“We require food, toiletries, uniform and stationery.”
