Residents are invited to join hands with the Benoni Lakes Lions Club on October 16 to clean up Homestead Dam from 09:30.
The club will start cleaning from Freeman Street and then along the dam.
Benoni Lakes Lions Club president Beaulieu Maré said they are challenging the Atlasville Organisation to join them on this day.
“Residents are welcome to join us for the club’s social with family and friends afterwards and to enjoy the view.
“We will set up gazebos and have a braai. Bring your meat and drinks,” said Maré.
Refuse bags and gloves will be provided by the club but donations are welcome. Attendees must wear masks and adhere to the Covid-19 regulations.
