Burnt body found in Etwatwa

A case of murder was opened at the Etwatwa Police Station.

The Etwatwa police are investigating a case of murder after the burnt body of a man was found in Extension 11 on September 19 at around 19:00.

The victim is believed to be in his early 20s and was wearing a red T-shirt.

Etwatwa SAPS spokesperson Sgt Khensani Mathebula said as police were patrolling the area, a community member alerted them to the body, which was near a dumping site.

“The body is burnt beyond recognition. It is suspected the injuries were inflicted at the dumpsite,” said Mathebula.

A case of murder was opened at the Etwatwa Police Station.
