Crystal Park Neighbourhood Watch to host awareness campaign

The fun day will be held at Ashbury College, 69 Von Broembsen Road, Fairleads, from 08:00 to 15:00.

Residents are invited to the Crystal Park Neighbourhood Watch (Zone One) annual safety awareness campaign and fun day on September 25.

The event is organised by the NPO, with the SAPS, CPF, EMPD and EMS to create safety awareness in the community.

The community will be introduced to the Sector One police forum, provided with emergency contact details, available WhatsApp groups in the area and recruiting the unemployed youth to join the forum.

During the fun day, community members will get an opportunity to participate in various sporting activities with a representative from different stakeholders.

There will also be various demonstrations by the SAPS, firefighters and EMPD Dog Unit.

The number of guests attending the event will be in line with the Covid-19 regulations. Attendees must wear masks and practise social distancing.

The entry fee is R10 and no alcohol will be allowed. The fun day will be held at Ashbury College, 69 Von Broembsen Road, Fairleads, from 08:00 to 15:00.

Proceeds will go towards the NPO.
