Youth invited to make extra cash by running errands

A Daveyton entrepreneur, Thabo Mahlase, who recently launched an app called SendMe, is looking for young people who want to be runners.

The app allows you to request an errand to be done for you at a price affordable to you.

The runners will get to make extra cash by completing errands, such as a carwash, shopping, gardening and domestic work, which is requested through the app.

The CEO and founder said he wants to create employment for youth in underdeveloped areas.

“As a young team of entrepreneurs from Daveyton, we understand the impact of the work that our work could have in South African and in African townships,” he said.

“Most important to us is to allow the youth to actively participate in the gig-economy and source jobs near and around them for extra cash.”

He added that in the long-run, they want to include skilled people, such as mechanics and plumbers, so they can offer more services.
