Water restriction stabalised in some areas

Water tankers have been dispatched to the areas with no water.

The MMC for Water and Sanitation, Tiisetso Nketle, has expressed gratitude to the citizens of Ekurhuleni who played their part to alleviate the pressure for water supply resulting from Rand Water restrictions in some areas.

“While most of the areas around the city that were previously affected by the restriction, which resulted in low pressure to no water supply over the past two weeks have stabilised, there are some areas that are still experiencing some restrictions,” she said.

The following areas are still affected by low pressure to no water:

• Benoni
• Etwatwa Extensions Nine, 10, 15, 18, 19, 21 and 36
• Etwatwa Extensions 37 and 34 (Barcelona)
• Daveyton Ext Two
• Brentwood Park

Water tankers have been dispatched to the areas with no water. Nketle has called on all customers to continue to save water as we are not out of the woods yet.
