Soup kitchen grateful for donations

BCT wrote an article on their need for donations to keep their kitchen going and received word from them of their utter gratefulness.

Six Etwatwa residents saw the need for a soup kitchen to aid their community during these hard times of unemployment mainly due to the pandemic.

Their project was opened under Bacha Ba Dichaba, an NPO based in Daveyton that assists the youth, schools and communities in any way possible and is situated in Etwatwa.

BCT wrote an article on their need for donations to keep their kitchen going and received word from them of their utter gratefulness. Thanks to the article, they received a massive donation from Geoff Londt, chairperson of Alphen Park Homeowners Association.

The donation included a gas stove, fresh vegetables, non-perishable foods, maize meal, rice, samp and masks.

“Bacha Ba Dichaba soup kitchen thanks Geoff Londt for the donation. We appreciate it and may God bless him abundantly. We would also like to thank the Benoni City Times for placing the article and making us known,” said Duduzile Moshoaliba.
