Is your business older than we are?

We would love to share the origins and history of your business in Benoni with our readers.

The City Times turns 100 years old on September 10 and our ‘Journey to 100 Years’ is gaining momentum.

Along the way, we’ve discovered interesting facts about residents’ past and present (who featured in the newspaper over the years), we’re uncovering how old our schools are and delving into their rich histories.

We’ve also reconnected with some of our businesses that are even older than we are!

If you have a story to tell about the newspaper or when you featured on our pages or if you are involved in a business, which has been around for decades or just opened its doors, we want to hear from you.

Our journey is about the history and ancient archives dating back to 1921 when William Hills put the first edition on the streets, but we also want to showcase the here and now, the modern face of our newspaper and its people and advertisers.

Come along on our journey. We are celebrating our newspaper’s rich history through the eyes of our readers.
What’s your story?
