NPO determined to make a difference in the community

The foundation was founded in January to assist those in need in Daveyton and Etwatwa.

The Boikano jwa Basetsana Foundation recently donated stationery to some of the disadvantaged learners of Umnyezane Primary School in Etwatwa.

The foundation, founded by Tumelo Nkosinkulu and Thandekile Masango, is still in the process of registering its NPO. They are affiliated under He Is a Provider NPO.

The foundation was founded in January to assist those in need in Daveyton and Etwatwa.

The youngsters said they are visionaries who are highly motivated and believe they can make a difference in changing the lives of others within the community.

“Our first project at the primary school was not only a success, but we changed lives by inspiring learners. After all, regardless of one’s background, nothing is impossible.

“Nelson Mandela said education is the key to success. These learners need to receive the best resources so they can be excellent in their schoolwork,” they said.

They also hosted a soup day at Badanisile Home of Safety in Mayfield Extension Five in Putfontein on July 24.

“We went to source sponsors and by God’s grace, we received assistance from businesses in our community and other organisations that wanted to offer a helping hand. The event was indeed a success.”

Nkosinkulu said their soup day not only fed those in need, but they also donated sanitary pads to the girls.
Children were given snacks.

“It was great to see all the children smiling, as they realised they are also important.

“The Boikano jwa Basetsana Foundation believes blessed is the hand that gives. We can do so much more if we all play our part in changing people’s lives regardless of the pandemic. We vow to serve and uplift our community,” said Nkosinkulu.

Masango said any help and support will be appreciated.
