The latest announcement that the country will need to go back to lockdown level four to help curb the Covid-19 infection rate was not good news for restaurants.

The industry has been hard-hit since lockdown was first implemented in March last year with restrictions on trade, including a total ban on alcohol sales and reduced trading hours.

As part of the restrictions, restaurants and other eateries are only allowed to sell food for takeaway or delivery until July 11.

These establishments are undoubtedly holding their breath for the next ‘family meeting’ with the president but until then we’ve all still got to eat, right?
