Sassa reminder of payment dates for R350 grant

Beneficiaries with R350 queries are advised to check their status on the website and wait for SMS notification.

Sassa would like to advise all R350 beneficiaries who have applied but not yet been paid that their money will be paid to them and communication thereof be sent via SMS.

According to Sassa Gauteng spokesperson Nandi Mosia, the end of April marked the closing of the previous extension, meaning no new applications for the grant are being accepted beyond April (as per the president’s announcement that the extension was from February to April).

“Sassa requests the R350 recipients to allow space for post offices to pay other social grant recipients, to avoid overcrowding at any outlet.

“This has been the norm with previous payments, thus we request a continuation of such until all qualifying R350 recipients are paid.

“The payment dates are staggered to ensure these categories of beneficiaries mostly elderly and people with disabilities are protected from the month-end rush at payment outlets as well as ensuring easy adherence to social distancing,” she said.

Mosia said beneficiaries with R350 queries are always advised to check their status on the website and wait for an SMS notifying them of the availability of their payment.

Clients with a rejected status can lodge an appeal on the website with their correct details as well as find the outcome of their appeal as well as cancel the application if they know they do not qualify anymore.

The website is www.srd.sassa.gov.za
