Benoni High School scoops district and municipal awards

Benoni High School hosted the Ekurhuleni North District Awards ceremony on March 12.

These learners and educators received awards for their respective subjects:

 

The following departments received awards for Best Subject at The Ekurhuleni virtual awards ceremony which took place on March 10 in life sciences and mathematics departments, from left; Tessa Swart (mathematics), Seshendran Naidoo (mathematics) ,Alison Knoop (life sciences) and Nicola Merrick (life sciences).

 

Benoni High learner Tshogofatso Matlala was the district’s best student in economics in 2020.
Benoni High learner Daegan Wepener was 2020’s best learner in English home language in the Ekurhuleni District.
Tessa Swart (mathematics, left), Ashley Stoltz (business studies), Seshendran Naidoo (mathematics), Demetra Tait (business studies), Alison Knoop (life sciences) and Nicola Merrick (life sciences). Absent: Panayiota Constantopoulos left Benoni High at the end of 2020 but was awarded for geography.
Benoni High School’s award-winning grade 12 English educators who received awards for best English educators in the district are, from left: Tracy Mills, Elmarie Allen, Rouchelle Spencer, Denise de Klerk, Rosalind Wood, Michelle Heyns, Joan Smith.
