Life Choices Pregnancy Crisis Centre needs your support to continue empowering new moms.
The NPO needs baby clothes (birth to 12 months) and nappies (newborn to size 5).
They aim to empower, encourage and equip women who are pregnant, women with children and women who have suffered an overwhelming loss through abortion, miscarriage and stillbirth.
Their other services include antenatal, child development sessions and counselling.
Director Monique Nezer said there is a high demand for food parcels.
“Last year on Mandela Day we gave out food parcels to our beneficiaries and their families,” said Monique.
“This is something that we have continued to do so that food parcels are available for our mommies who are in dire need.”
The food packs that are made available for the mothers can feed a family of six.
“The food packs cost only R20 and will always be available as the need arises. They will be given out at the discretion of our centre manager, Nelly Selete,” said Monique.
“If the community can support us financially for such donations we would appreciate it.”
The centre, based on the corner of 5th and Cloverdene roads, needs R1 200 per month to buy 60 packs.
