“Nyaope, rocks, crystal meth, cocaine and heroin were confiscated,” said EMPD spokesperson Kobeli Mokheseng.

The EMPD’s Tracing Unit Team patrolling Cranbourne Avenue stopped and searched a suspicious 39-year-old.

“Officers uncovered 10 knotted plastic packs of crystal meth and the suspect voluntarily led the way to his nearby flat where ziplocks, huge plastic packs of heroin and cocaine, valued at R300 000, were found,” Mokheseng said.

The suspect was arrested and taken to the Benoni Police Station.

“In the Thembisa area, three suspects cornered on Modderfontein Road were searched,” he explained.
“The joint operation uncovered 48 pieces of nyaope and 20 pieces of rocks valued at R4 600 with R10 400 cash. The trio were taken to Rabbie Ridge Police Station.”
