Pugs receive some TLC at Pug Rescue

On the day, King Pickle launched his book called King Pickle Takes a Ride.

Pug Rescue SA held its last Spoil-a-Rescue fund-raiser at their premises in Nielsen Road, Benoni North AH.

The pugs were taken for a walk and received treats, love and attention from visitors who booked to support the event.

The fund-raiser promotes and creates awareness about adoptions for the rescued pugs.

Malcolm Gaw, Pug Rescue SA chairperson, said it has been a challenging year as they had to stop some of their regular fund-raisers.

“However, we used other platforms, such an online auction, virtual musical event and our jumble sale, to raise funds,” said Gaw.

“Our donors and sponsors have given us great support throughout the year. Dog food and cleaning materials were donated to us.”

Gaw, Cheryl and the board of directors thanked the Benoni and surrounding communities for their continuous support.

On the day, King Pickle launched his book called King Pickle Takes a Ride.

Gaw said the limited edition book and their calendar will be perfect Christmas gifts for your loved ones.

On the day, visitors had to bring a tin of Husky with gravy as a donation to help the NPO build a giant Christmas tree for their pugs.
