“My wish is to see the centre being extended and being more environmently friendly,” said Sikhosana.

Sikhosana is a professional nurse who left her job to start the centre in her home in 2016.

“I started the centre because I saw there was a huge need for children with disabilities. Most parents are in denial of their children’s conditions and it is harder for them to take care of them,” she said.

“My goal is to provide them with a disability-friendly home and to ensure all their needs are taken care of.”
The centre operates 24 hours a day with four caregivers.

She said it is important for families to love their children whether they are disabled or not, they are so easy to love and they are blessings.

The centre will also appreciate any donations of clothes, blankets, educational toys and non-perishable food.
