Jennifer Glover – Ward 28 FF Plus Ward Candidate for by-election on 9 December 2020

Jennifer Glover is no new kid on the block. In fact, since her election as a Freedom Front Plus councillor in Ekurhuleni in 2016, she has been around the proverbial block a number of times.

She is equally at home in the council chambers as in the streets at grassroots level where she has become a champion of those in need. Jennifer has been at the forefront in the fight against corruption, mismanagement, tender fraud and misconduct by officials from the metro. A legal professional, she decided to spread her wings and embark on a career in politics as well because of the diversity it has to offer. “I enjoy working with people and have made it my number one goal to assist those in need,” says this dynamic leader. She believes that while the law may be very specific in its intention, the interpretation and application make it both interesting and challenging.

“I believe that it is this ambiguity that offers legal professionals the perfect opportunity to apply their knowledge of the law in the political arena to the benefit of all voters. “During my journey in the law profession I became involved in politics and found an absolute passion for serving my broader community through service delivery and holding institutions and their leaders accountable for their decisions and actions.

“The Freedom Front Plus is a party with which I can completely align myself because I fully agree with and support their constitution. I am fortunate that the party offered me the platform and opportunity to follow this passion. “I’ve found it to be very fulfilling to work in local government and will thus continue to do my best to better the lives of each and every South African and in doing so also contribute to growing the Freedom Front Plus to its full potential.” Jennifer also serves as legal advisor within the Freedom Front Plus structures as a member of the Gauteng Executive Council and member of the National Federal Council. If she is elected as councillor for Ward 28, she will be sure to prioritise the shortcomings in the ward, like infrastructure, electricity, water supply and crime.
