Ladies set out to inspire others

This programme gives each participant an opportunity to grow and progress in her personal and career goals while building a community.

The fifth annual Miss Inspire South Africa pageant was held recently at The Boat Deck, Lakeside Mall.

The event was initially scheduled for March but was postponed due to lockdown.

“Miss Inspire SA is not your conventional pageant, rather it is a young women leadership programme which focuses on purpose rather than outside physical attributes,” said Litshani Tshuma, founder and director of Miss Inspire SA.

“We welcome ladies of all shapes and sizes, including the physically challenged. We had four categories, namely Miss Inspire SA Woman, Miss Inspire SA, Miss Inspire SA Teen and Miss Inspire SA Junior.

“Our objective is to encourage young women to engage in community development and to give them a platform to make a difference in their own lives, as well as the lives of others.

“This also builds a strong sisterhood among the ladies and encourages opportunities to work together.”
