A 37-year-old man was shot dead on November 9 in Mayfield Extension One, Putfontein.
Putfontein SAPS spokesperson Sgt Raider Ubisi said it is alleged two unknown men came to the deceased’s house to apologise for pointing a firearm at his 13-year-old stepson the day before when he refused to go to the shop for them.
“An argument ensued and the victim was assaulted. The suspects left but returned armed, shooting the victim four times,” said Ubisi.
The man was certified dead on the scene by paramedics.
No arrests have been made. Police are investigating.
A case of murder was opened at the Putfontein Police Station.
