Virtual race saves cross-country season

The race was opened to the entire school and all the learners were encouraged to take part.

Farrarmere Primary School ensured that cross-country season was not forgotten due to Covid-19.

They hosted a virtual race for learners to stay safe, healthy and fit.

Each age group was allocated a certain amount of time to run as far as possible and the virtual race enabled learners to run in their own perspective residential areas.

The race was opened to the entire school and all the learners were encouraged to take part.
Each grade competed against each other.

For those who could meet at Homestead Dam did so with the sports department of the school and raced as a sports team.

Overall, the race and the initiative was a success.
