The man was detained and he will appear at the Benoni Magistrate’s Court soon.

A 40-year-old man was arrested on Mike Street, Tamboville, for attempted murder, being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition on September 15.

Actonville SAPS spokesperson Capt Pheello Mothapo said police attended to a domestic violence call. Upon arrival, a woman said her husband was threatening her.

“It is alleged that the man told his wife that he will shoot her and their five-year-old child if they refuse to go with him,” said Mothapo.

“Police found two bullet holes on the wall and the husband was found with a firearm concealed in his private parts.”

The man was detained and he will appear at the Benoni Magistrate’s Court soon.
