The estimated date for the completion of repairs on the sinkhole on Snake Road and Golden Drive has moved to September 19.
Site manager Justice Zulu explained that the project is 95 per cent complete and in two weeks’ time, they will begin laying the road.
In a previous article written by the City Times in July, ward 73 councillor Sinethemba Matiwane explained that cement dust and crushed stone were pumped into the ground to fill all holes or gaps caused by the sinkhole.
The sinkhole was first identified on November 2, 2019, and the road had since been closed.
