Toastmasters Benoni welcomes new president

It is a learning platform for leadership and communication skills and the learning takes place in a supportive environment

Toastmasters Benoni recently appointed Kgatile Nkala as the president of the club, effective July 1.

She has been a member of the club for three years and served as the vice-president for membership for 18 months.

Kgatile holds a degree in psychology and is a post graduate in labour law and human resources.

She said Toastmasters provides a rich network of people who are experts in their fields, who come from diverse backgrounds with diverse experience and who are willing to share their expertise to help one another.

It is a learning platform for leadership and communication skills and the learning takes place in a supportive environment, Kgatile said.

She has worked in the aviation and transport logistics industries for over 18 years, at an executive level for over eight years.

The club, Kgatile highlighted, has brought all her leadership skills to full circle. “I am now a better leader and it has helped to hone my communication skills too,” she said.
