Farrarmere Primary recently contacted Paul Rotherham at Caxton Radio to ask if they could welcome back their Grade Five learners on radio.
They specifically asked for a dedication to be played on air on Wednesday evening (July 15), the night before the learners were due back in class.
Of course Paul was happy to oblige, excited to have a local school reaching out to the radio station with such an innovative gesture for the learners.
At 6.30pm on July 15, as part of The Country Countdown Show, Caxton Radio aired the dedication, which ended with Tina Turner’s Simply the Best playing.
Teachers, parents and learners eagerly streamed the station to listen on www.benonicitytimes.co.za
Caxton Radio can be streamed from 10 Caxton Local Media websites and has a studio at Emperors Palace. Follow them on FB too (Caxton Radio)!
