Toastmasters Benoni launches mentorship programme

Toastmasters Benoni will launch their member mentorship programme on July 22 at 7.30pm, through an online meeting due to the Covid-19 restrictions.

The event will include a key note address by Nikki Quinn, who has achieved the title of Distinguished Toastmaster, the highest educational level in Toastmasters and is also a former District Director of Toastmasters Area 74 which covers nine Southern African countries.

Kgatile Nkala, the club president of Toastmasters Benoni, stated, “The objective of the programme is to assist members to accelerate the improvement of their communication and leadership skills.

“The Benoni Club, which has been in existence since 1977, has a number of longstanding members who have achieved various levels in the Toastmasters education programme and they will be sharing their skills, experience and knowledge with members through one-on-one mentorship,” he said.

Kgatile went on to say the mentorship programme fosters a culture of learning where mentor and mentee develop and benefit both professionally and personally through this symbiotic relationship.
