Several injured in taxi accident on Pretoria Road

Medics assessed the patients and found that seven people had minor to moderate injuries.

Seven people were left injured on Monday morning (May 25) when a taxi and a light motor vehicle collided on Pretoria Road in Benoni AH.

“ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 8.10am to find the taxi lying on its side in the middle of the road,” said ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring.

The light motor vehicle was found parked a short distance away.

Several people were found walking around on the scene.

Meiring added that no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
