The ward delimitation form is available on the metro's website

The Municipal Demarcation Board (MDB) has published the revised programme following the declaration of state of disaster and lockdown to prevent the spread of Covid-19 for the provision of comments and inputs on the draft ward maps (Set 1).

In terms of the revised programme, all municipalities that were consulted prior to the declaration of state of disaster and lockdown have to submit their written submissions by no later than May 31.

Themba Gadebe, spokesperson for the Ekurhuleni metro, said the metro was consulted on March 22 with MDB after three stakeholder engagements by the metro on proposed ward demarcations.

“We held public consultation meetings in preparation of the MDB session with the metro on March 22.

“The due date for submitting written comments and inputs to the MDB was April 30 and was extended to May 31 due to the lockdown.”

If you did not submit comments already, you can still make your submission on the MBD form and ensure it reaches the office of the speaker of council by no later than May 28 or is emailed directly to MDB (registry@demarcation.org.za) by May 31.
