450 food parcels donated to needy in Putfontein

Putfontein-based non-profit organisation Samukelo Esihle Community Project donated 450 food parcels on May 18 to those in need in the community.

The founder, Samukelo Tshabalala, said they have distributed about 610 food parcels to residents who are in need during this Covid-19 pandemic.

The food parcels are donated to the elderly, orphans and disabled people in the area.

She thanked everyone who has helped her with donations.

The organisation will appreciate monetary and food donations of rice, maize meal, samp or non-perishable food and hand sanitisers.
