Box a donation towards the underprivileged

There is a Boxer in Benoni CBD on Voortrekker Street.

When shopping at any Boxer, remember to support their Boxer Hunger Relief Programme which provides for communities in South Africa and eSwatini that are struggling with a shortage of nutritious food during the Covid-19 pandemic and resulting lockdown.

Through Boxer’s network of 300 stores, non-profit organisations are able to collect fully packed Boxer food parcels and deliver them to families in need.

In Boxer stores, shoppers can help by purchasing from a range of selected items.

Boxer will donate R0.10 to the community for each item sold. Boxer shoppers can also purchase any items in store and place those goods into specially marked Hunger Relief trolleys at the front of the store.

Both of these collections are added to the store?s monthly community donation allowance and distributed to pre-selected organisations chosen by each of the 300 Boxer Stores in South Africa and eSwatini.

The programme, which as multiple levels of support opportunities available, has already seen many families benefit.

This is another addition to the many efforts to support the communities we serve.

The programme has several ways for customers to assist Boxer feed impoverished communities.

Businesses and individuals who want to assist communities with monetary donations can do so by visiting www.boxer.co.za and clicking on the Hunger Relief Foundation tab.

After filling out the assistance form, the Boxer Hunger Relief Programme team will get in contact and assist donors with their donation requirements.

Donors will see their funds being used to create food parcels for the many NGOs and feeding schemes needing help during these challenging times.

In addition to this, companies and businesses who want to support their staff during the lockdown can also request Boxer eCoupons by filling out the details on the same Hunger Relief Programme section of the Boxer website.
