Birthday celebrations at Pinnacle College Rynfield

Pinnacle College Rynfield hosted their one-year birthday celebration at the school premises on March 6.

The day was also used to officially launch the high school block and other facilities, of which construction started in December 2018 and completed this year.

Mike Aitken, managing director of Pinnacle Colleges, Christo de Witt, chief operating officer of Pinnacle Colleges, and Carina Botha, the architect behind the school’s new design, were celebrated on the day. The facilities built include soccer pitches, rugby field, netball courts, a swimming pool, a tennis court and new classrooms.

“Today, we are celebrating our first birthday. We will use it as an opportunity to acknowledge everyone who have helped build the school, and to acknowledge our learners. It is also the official opening of the Pinnacle College Rynfield,” said Clint Gaffney, the college’s principal.

Gaffney said the children have to make use of this opportunity and discover their dreams. The number of learners registered at the school is 302, starting from pre-school and continuing to Grade 12. The number is expected to grow because more new facilities are currently being added, which include a new school hall, a hockey pitch and a new netball facility where the children can explore their talents and take part in physical development.

The children here today have the most wonderful facility. They have every opportunity to participate in sports and cultural activities.

“We have the most phenomenal teachers, and the children have the world at their fingertips. They can make themselves as big, as great, and as successful as they want,” he added.
