Fund-raiser to be held for woman battling Kaposi’s sarcoma

Donations of food, toiletries, building materials or any other assistance will be appreciated on the day.

A Pink Picnic fund-raiser will be held for Lesiba ‘Lee’ Mothibe, who is battling Kaposi’s sarcoma cancer, on March 7 at Marivate in Daveyton.

Proceeds from the event will go towards helping Lesiba with the costs to cover her transportation and to make her home wheelchair-friendly.

This comes after an article outlining Lesiba’s struggle with the cancer was published on the front page of the City Times February 21 edition.

Attendees must wear pink and white or all pink and bring camping chairs or gazebos.

Donations of food, toiletries, building materials or any other assistance will be appreciated on the day.

The event will run from noon until 3pm.
