Remember to check for credentials during property valuation inspections

Once the process of collecting the data has been completed and handed over to the city manager, the draft valuation roll document will be made available for public inspection and objections.

The Ekurhuleni municipality is currently embarking on a project to compile the metro’s valuation roll for the period 2021 to 2025.

The valuations of properties within the boundaries of Ekurhuleni will run until November.

Residents are reminded that before they let the data collectors onto their property, the collectors must show a specially designated identity card with their photo, full name, identity number, project personnel number and designation on.

The data collectors may only work between 7.30am and 7pm from Monday to Friday. However, special arrangement can be made for Saturday.

Lereku Leku, a senior valuer at the City of Ekurhuleni, displaying the attire which the date collectors will be wearing.

No data collectors work on Sundays.

Residents are also warned not to let anyone onto your property or give any personal information to anyone who does not have the correct identification.
