EMPD responds to Farrarmere resident’s complaints about vagrants and recyclers

"It is evident that there are some activities taking place."

Media liaison officer for the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Lerato Monyane has confirmed that the EMPD inspected the open veld on the corner of Main Road and Windermere Drive in Farrarmere following the recent concerns of resident Paula Rutherford about vagrants and recyclers.

“Officers of the nearby precinct visited the area and found no one doing any recycling or dumping as per allegations,” said Monyane.

“But it is evident that there are some activities taking place.

“There will be a follow-up on our side as one of the residents alleges that there is a recycling business operating, in most cases when the waste management department collects bins.”
